How to replace the Lenovo IBM Thinkpad T420 T420i inverter ( LED board )

Replace Thinkpad T420 LCD inverter-1

This post will explain how to replace LCD Inverter of Lenovo IBM Thinkpad T420 T420i.

1. Open you laptop as far as possible (you don't need to remove the LCD unit from the base if you replace the inverter only). Remove the screen bezel by your fingers.

2. Now, you can access the Thinkpad T420 T420i LED board. Remove the screw securing the board, then  you can take the LED board out of the display, after that, you can unplug the LED cable. Finally, you can remove the LED board.

Reverse the procedure to install the new Thinkpad T420 T420i LCD inverter (LED board).
